What We Do & How You Can Help
In our first sewing session, we made 45 dresses! By the fifth sewing session, we were making over 100! By January 2012, we are doing over 200! How? By transforming pillow cases into pretty dresses for little girls. These dresses go immediately to developing countries!
If you sew, fantastic! If you do not, come anyway! We need many helping hands to cut, iron, sort, and so on.
We welcome donations of pillow cases of any size or fabric, and other sewing supplies.

Fight Human Trafficking
The motivation for this project is the to protect poor girls from being targeted by human traffickers. A girl dressed in rags is a target, while a well-dressed girl is assumed to be cared for and protected by adult guardians or family.
The Dress A Girl Around the World is part of Hope 4 Women International. Dress a Girl is a nation-wide project with website at: http://www.dressagirlaroundtheworld.com/
On Facebook, we have a group for the Tri-Valley area (Livermore - Pleasanton - Dublin) east of San Francisco Bay with information and pictures:
